Salts of the Earth

We visited Biomarket- one of Amsterdam’s largest health food stores.  We discovered that they take salt seriously over here…very seriously. We don’t think we have ever seen such a large selection of salts…from all over the world…including black salt from Hawaii!

On the culinary side of things. Last night we prepared a meal for one of our hosts here in Amsterdam. Lightly steamed fennel, broccoli and other veggies over a mixed green salad with balsamic vinaigrette and Pecan Crusted Tofu and Portobello Mushroom with a Pesto Sauce over Basmati Rice with fresh tomato. Yum!
